Meet Anna…
Anna is a Ukranian native living in Kent Island, Maryland, with a strong passion for cooking and confectionery-making. In fact, she says it is her love language! After leaving her career as a college professor of science to become a full-time mom, she found a new passion in making zephyrs. She is fascinated by the beauty and taste of these delightful desserts, and finds them to be very elegant, light, flavorful, and naturally sweet.
Her zephyrs are flavored using fruits, berries, herbs, and honey from her family’s garden, orchard and apiary, which ensures the purity of taste and uncompromised quality of ingredients.
She grows apples, cherries, plums, apricots, figs, pears, peaches, grapes, black currants, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries in their orchard. From their vegetable gardens come basil, mint, rosemary, lavender, and thyme. (Yes, zephyrs can be savory as well as sweet!)
After discovering the diamond of Eastern European confectionery - the zephyr - for herself, she fell in love with the idea of introducing this delight to the American consumer, to share the pleasure of elegant, yet healthy indulgence. Cheers!
